Requirements
3D Inspection Systems currently only supports version 12.3 series. Use Help > About 3D to find your version number.
New or replacement installers for the current version are available to subscribers, however for convenience we strongly recommend storing your latest installer download along with periodic data backups made within the software in a safe place off the drive.
Requirements for 3D Inspection System desktop:

- 3D desktop runs on Windows 10/11. Note: Future versions will need a 64-bit operating system. (most new PC’s purchased after 2020 were pre-installed with 64 bit Windows)
- x64-based processor required. NOT compatible with ARM based processors (e.g. SQ1, SQ2, Qualcomm, Snapdragon).
- NOT compatible with Windows S mode. Switch out of S mode for compatibility. Computers primarily designed for S mode often have subpar performance.
- Internet connectivity for product activation, and certain features. Continuous connectivity not required.
- Install Windows updates and restart prior to installing. Temporarily disabling third-party security utilties recommended.
- Samsung 980 or similar SSD require working around a Windows 11 SQL bug- https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/sql/admin/troubleshoot-os-4kb-disk-sector-size
- Any machine acting as a server for Networking the Office Management database must be able to run SQL Express 2012. A regular PC may be used or designated as a server machine for shared data. Note: Future versions yet to be released must be able to run SQL 2022.

NOTES ABOUT OTHER SYSTEM ENVIRONMENTS FOR DESKTOP 3D
We may be unable to assist with unexpected technical issues on an unsupported OS, virtual environment, or obsolete versions. Obtain networking assistance from your local qualified IT.
MacOS Not supported. Although 3D software is not native to Apple’s MacOS, some have used BootCamp or Parallels to run Windows on MacOS to use the 3D desktop software. 3D does not keep or test such setups, so help, suggestions, or support may be limited. Third-party assistance might be available or a local IT might assist. These options ONLY can work on classic Mac computers with traditional Intel x86/x64 compatible chips. BootCamp does not work on Macs with cheaper M series chips (M1, M2, etc.), nor is Parallels on M compatible with 3D. Companion Mobile apps however do run natively on iPhone and iPad (iOS) but are not designed for MacOS.
3D Inspection System is designed for English versions of Windows. Custom inspection forms and content may be created for non-English inspections (except Asian languages), however technical support and program menus are English-only. We do not officially test or support non-English or non-Windows setups.

3D Mobile Inspector
Optional 3D Mobile Inspector app companion uses Cloud3D Services to transfer reports to/from 3D Inspection System desktop.
- Minimum compatible devices (subject to change):
- Android 8.1+ (12+ recommended) with Google Play Store
- iOS 13+ (16+ recommended) iPhone or iPad (Note: Not designed for MacOS)
- Internet needed for report transfers, but active connection is not required to work on reports downloaded to devices.
- Cloud3D Services is required for data transfer, activated separately but FREE to software subscribers.
- 3D Mobile Inspector app may only be available in US, AU, CAN, and NZ regions.
- Works with 3D Inspection System desktop software and uses internet access when sending or receiving reports.
Subject to terms provided to you by 3D Inspection Systems and Cloud3D Services. Your wireless carrier or internet provider may have other terms. (Certain proxy servers may prevent direct access to IP addresses, or change information passing through servers so as to cause a communication error. Some networks may be set up to use proxies or similar technologies. We cannot support or control proxy internet servers that may cause such issues.)
