How to Update card for your Subscription or Payment Plan Subscription
To ensure your service is not interrupted, please update your details through the correct tab:
- Click the Subscriptions tab in your account menu.
- Click View next to your subscription, then click Change Payment (or Pay if your renewal already failed).
- Enter your new card details and save.
🚨 CRUCIAL: Do not update your card under the “Payment Methods” tab alone. Adding a card there will not link to your active subscription renewals and your next payment will fail. Always use the Subscriptions tab first!
Fix a failed payment / reactivate service
- Look for the subscription marked On-Hold or Failed and click View.
- 💳 Click the Pay or Change Payment button located inside the alert banner.
- 🛒 Enter your new card details at the checkout page.
- 🚀 Complete the transaction. Your card will be authorized for processing the failed renewal.
Account Cleanup: Remove your old card
Updating payment method for an active subscription does not automatically change your default card settings for other purchases. To prevent checkout confusion later, cleanup old cards:
- Click the main Payment Methods tab in your account dashboard.
- Review your saved credit cards. You may see both your expired/old card and your newly added subscription card.
- Click the Delete button next to your old card profile.
Removing your old card profile forces your new subscription card to the “Default” position for future general checkouts.
🚨 Do not update your payment details using ONLY the main “Payment Methods” tab.
Adding a credit card directly to Payment Methods tab only saves it as an option for future items at checkout. It cannot communicate with pre-existing automated billing profiles. Your subscription will completely ignore this card, continue to attempt to charge your old card, and ultimately fail. Always use the Subscriptions tab options detailed above first.
